Brömme verzaubert die Massen in der zitty Leserlounge

Am Donnerstag, 22. April 2009, 20 Uhr, fand in Twinitys – wie auch in der realen Zitty-Leserlounge – die Vorstellung des neuen Buches von Ralf Kabelka alias Dr. Udo Brömme „Zukunft ist für alle da“ statt. Der fiktive CDU-Spitzenpolitiker vom Landtag Düsseldorf begrüßte jeden Twinizien persönlich mit einer Verbeugung. Er ist eben ein ‚echter Mann für’s Volk‘.
Dr. Udo Brömme begann mit der Agenda seiner politischen Forderungen. Die soziale Gerechtigkeitswiederherstellung liegt ihm sehr am Herzen. ‚Alte Leute‘ will er mit Rolling-Stones-Konzerten für Rentner und kostenfreien Busfahrten zur Tulpenausstellung nach Holland ‚weg von der der Straße‘ locken und mit tröstenden Worten: ‚Auch ein altes Huhn ergibt eine gute Suppe‘ die Senioren motivieren. Mit gezielter ‚Bekämpfung der Zellulitis‘ und mehr ‚Wichskabinen‘ werden die Wählerherzen erobert. Auch die Innenpolitik, wie der Einsatz der Bundeswehr für müde Discobesucher und Helikopter für Jeden, kommt nicht zu kurz.
Brömme hatte keine Scheu vor privaten Enthüllungen. Mit Liebe zum Detail berichtete er von seinem Verhältnis zu Tine Wittler, darauf folgender Auseinandersetzung mit Frau Ines und anschließender Versöhnung, die im Schlafzimmer vollzogen wurde. Zum Ende der Lesung gab der ‚Retter vom Rhein‘ das letzte Wahlversprechen bekannt: 'Pirmasens wird die neue Hauptstadt' und die 'Wiedertrennung aufgrund des ungenügenden MDR-Programms und mangelnden Fußballleistungen'.

Lucky Twinizen is FLIXed at Reader’s Lounge

dch(Berlin) - At yesterdays zitty Reader’s Lounge the connection between real and 3D world grew a bit stronger. Not only that all Twinizens present were given a furiously funny reading that went over two hours – facial musculature and laughing animations were almost overstrained. But when the reading was over, the two charming hosts Flix and Mischa-Sarim Vérollet answered questions from the audience – and liked Twinizens Sonia’s question so much that they decided to send her a signed copy of “Der Swimmingpool des kleinen Mannes”, Flix’s latest piece of work.

Sonia who hails from a city near author Vérollet’s hometown was overwhelmed and expressly told this newspaper to “…give them both a big hug and many thanks when you meet them again!”

Well, meet them yourself ‘virtually’, Sonia…:) We will keep you up to the latest developments!

As one can plainly see, Twinity has begun to heat up for the Coming of Spring! Shown here with M.C. Nathan, the winner of the women’s contest, Hannah, on the runway as she nails her dance routine like a pro. “I was real nervous,” she later admitted, “but I came here to win.” And win she did, with a sultry grace and a come-hither smile, she earned the votes of the judges and fans alike. Penny, Sarina, Chaos Theory, and Lora performed admirably to the delight of the crowd. A special mention for headspinning virtuosity garnered by Red Phoenix gave proof that from ashes come diamonds.

As for those gorgeous hunks of manhood led by Daniel H the gym owner, naked torsos ruled the day as the men showed-off their washboard abs. The multi-talented Designer, Ray brought home the gold for his studly moves and shy smile which he used to great effect. Many of the women avatars swooned and fainted onto the cushions. Max, Lars and the other men just didn’t have a chance. Don’t know what the man has, but he has it in spades. Calm, self-assured and serene in his co-ordinated outfit of Supershape skullcap and shorts matched to a very 80’s red leather tie, Ray strutted his stuff to an appreciative crowd that strained Nektar to its capacity. Many in the crowd remarked on this event being their favorite party yet. The dancing rocked on for a while as we all jumped up on the catwalk and grooved the night away.

Indie Tuesday: Super 700 Style

Just getting into Motor was tough, my press credentials didn’t count for much, and the freight elevator was locked down for the day. Finally though, with my faithful sidekick Igor in tow, I got into the cavernous space that is the Motor Club. I hear the music first, before I am fully rezzed from the xport, it fills the hall with harmonic melodies supported by hip and sympathetic rhythms that are quite pleasing to hear. No, really… the vocalist is singing pretty tunes without the distraction of those infernal fake computer assisted tracks. Old school in the mastery of their art but with a fresh multi-faceted approach that reflects today’s culturally integrated society. Yes, Igor, I liked them very much. Why didn’t I just come out and say that? You cheeky baboon, it is because I impart comment and criticism on art that Ms. Zitty pays me. And to merely say “It was good, it rocks, and I liked the music.” means little to our subscribers who would like to peruse an informed article on a show that they might have missed. Where was I…ah yes, well it seems that Lars took my request seriously when I remarked that I had wished for the Malk folks to have shown up at the last Indie Tuesday en avatar. So I was more than pleased to see Super 700 show up in Twinity.

Avatars of Simon and Schmiddle were out dancing and mixing with the glitterati of Twinity which included a most dynamic duo. Shape–shifting has become vogue as an Amazon Lora gyrated with a meatball-shaped Ray. We all got a pretty good laugh at that with a few notable comments from Lisa. The guys in the band were quite approachable and answered questions readily. Tour dates are posted in the mezzanine of the Motor Club as is biographical data so I refer you there as well as www.super700.com as Simon suggested to me. Glenn’s Dream Theater

Entering at Glenn’s dream theater, here Glenn is meeting me, a nice and very welcoming guy, there from the first second shows his love for the place he made. Eyes looking at you from the wall, and in a strange way makes you feel welcome, and the pictures, drag you in, and make you get curious from first moment.

First room I’m shown is the fish room, wow you get a feeling like you are underwater, this room is made because a friends of him is very fond of fish, and every detail is perfect, you see the time and love put in the room.

We enter the heart of Dream theater, he made room for a nice bar, and a good hangout area to dance and hang out. The walls are full of pictures, a mix of art, and pictures from everyday Twinity. All the pictures is taken in a angel there show, this guy know something about pictures, and they are all loving cut and worked with to get the best out of every pictures, and looks real proff.

We enter a room, its like being in space. And again you see his very careful work, planets flowing in the air, I almost hit earth with my virtual head, good thing I can’t get hurt in this world. You almost get the feeling of flying in space in this room, fantastic.

Walking upstairs to second floor, I get a proof that this guy is really an artist with a camera, pictures on the walls all the way upstairs, shows pictures taking from really exciting angles, will let it up to the reader to go and see them yourself. They should be seen, not explained.

Second floor is comfy rooms, full of great pictures from Norway, spectacular weather scenes and amazing things in the pictures, when you look close. You really can spend some time studying every single picture, and you know for sure every single picture is carefully chosen to hang just there.

Glenn promise to change some of the pictures every day, give you an excuse to stop by from time to time, you might even find a picture of your own avatar one day, and I’m sure Glenn will share it with you if you ask nicely.

On Friday Glenn had the grand opening in his Dream theater, he managed to get a life dj streaming, talking and fulfill you music wishes, when you have experience it all, and dance, or take a cool drink in the bar.

Indie Tuesday with Malk

Motor Music hosted a tekno-groove party featuring Malk the Sound of Köln or some such city that isn’t New York or Berlin. A big turnout for the three-piece concept group comprised of a singer, a street musician and a Producer.

Daniel H, looking dapper in the new support livery was the official greeter welcoming Twinizens old and new. He could not keep his feet still, nor could I.

Bubbles is the name of the release and it provided spirited music for the dance-and-chat crowd. Everyone was there like the too-cool-to-dance movement was in attendance posing, scowling and scouting the ‘action’. The pop-based tunes percolated and propelled the party to a frenzy of fun. Guests were dropping in all evening long to catch the scene here.

The Rockers were in attendance too, sizing up the competition no doubt.

Besides the freebies dispensed, (yes, I now have that cool Motor hoody Lars wears), I found the highlight of the evening to be the innovative dancing thrown down by our brothers and sisters. So inventive and creative on the floor, this reporter just gawked. Thankfully, Igor was immune to the persistent beats and actually performed his tasks with a minimum of whining or complaint. Check this!

Motor is a big club and can handle an even bigger crowd than we had for this event. Let’s really turn it out for these events gang, the future is ours to create.

Black Snow/Black Tie

If you are the well-dressed and stylish type I have to hip you to the scene at Black Snow. As one enters the dark and mysterious club one is immersed in the phantasmagorical theme replete with subtle lighting and wall art. The proprietor, Marco always on site to welcome the VIP’s and press alike, ushered me into a conversation area and plied me with Twinity beer and some low voltage happy powder. The mix was actually light on the devil-music and rocked with a good intensity. This place rocks!

The Late-night crowd is dancing and chatting up a storm.

Marco has employed a harem of fine dancers to augment the show and has provided them with the appropriate stage for showing-off their moves and gyrations. Igor, my assistant planted his fat butt in a stage-side chair and refused to move until the lovely vixens finished their shift. Que baboso, as we say in America, this guy is too much. The balcony has been enclosed to keep the ion winds down and is my pick for a spot to get a little closer with your favorite Twinizen.

Relaxx

As part of my ongoing research into the night-life of Twinity I have found yet another gem of a club. Relaxx is the name, but owner/DJ Webbi has a different theme each night besides chillin'. One night will be the Chaos Party, the next might be the Relaxx Edition. In step with a young crowd that demands more, Relaxx delivers. A place for beautiful people in the mood for a good time boasting three, yes three dance floors for you athletic types, while we sensitive intellectuals will no doubt be sequestered in the Tiki Bar which Webbi so thoughtfully erected. No there is no photo as Igor, the photographer failed to salvage a photo of said Tiki Bar. This night began as seven twinizens descended from the ethernet into the club. Of course the beautiful women are covered as Igor is the papparazzi from hell, but he sometimes gets the job done in spite of himself.

Di, already famous for her knockout role in Twinity Pimpz, is dancing at Club 103! Here she synchronizes with the proprietor of Relaxx, perhaps earning another shift? Certainly this reporter was in awe at the beauty of two friends dancing as one.

Luckily I was aware enough to kick Igor and mimed for him to take the bloody shot already! As luck would have it my assistant accidently took two good photos of the occasion.

Jimmy Olsen, club reporter here, with an exclusive & breaking story. I can confirm the rumors that Cente King has headed up an underground scene in the BitCubes of Bitropolis. His B-Boy Nation is in full swing at the Breakdance club, flying under the radar in true renegade style. Lookout Twinity! This is where the Ravers and Breakdancers, Tripping Billy’s and Dancing Nancy’s get the Endless Groove.

The dance floor packs as more swingers teleport in. Dee runs a bangin’ bar and is well-known as one of the top bartenders in Twinity. Cente keeps the tunes fresh as the twinizens chat and dance till all hours. I know I will see you there, ‘cause I know that you ain’t square…like L7, baby.

Our reporter J. Olsen sent me this report of a mysterious encounter he had:

"While conducting interviews on the streets of our Virtual Berlin I was approached by a ‘Presence’. The familiar yellow letters ‘Avatar’ floated over an empty space but I ‘felt’ that I was chatting with a person. A bossy, know-it-all type, if you know what I mean, but invisible to me, person. Anyhoo, so this is how it went down.

“From where do you hail good fellow?” I query.

“Oh, I live here,” he says.

“Interesting, uh, nearby or what?”, okay, so I was a little flustered.

“No, I just exist within your community. So, what good are you doing here?” he asks.

“I’m an artist, and writer here, and hey, I’m the one asking questions here,” I protest.

“Aren’t you just wasting time here, or out for your own gain?”

“Damn, that’s harsh dude, I am a nice guy, I’m creative and I share. What the hell else you want from me? A weak riposte, I know. “You can’t do anything bad here anyway. Our Creators were wise enough to omit certain items and actions.”

“I see,” he intones, “so the loss of free will doesn’t bother you?”

“Dude, lighten up, there’s plenty to do here and I’ve seen rare and wondrous things in Twinity so dial it back a bit and chill.”

“And who do you think was responsible for these things?” just a little ominously.

“I am guessing cool glitches in the software.” I hedge, admirably. “Did you see the Ghost Boy, or the dude that sprouted branches from his fingers? Hell, here is a picture of Simone from ten years ago, how weird is that?”

Ever so cryptically he asserts, “Ah, yes, I remember.”

“Hell you do, you weren’t there and I don’t want to hear it!”

“I have seen all these things and more”, now you know his attitude is getting to me.

“Oh please, what about the Cocteau moment with Tauri, or the igneous man or the ‘Gneiss look’, huh?” I’m really goin now. “What about it, huh?”

“Yea, those were pretty good, but there are greater things to come.”

He transported off to who-knows-where-or-when - and it will be too soon seeing him again. This is your Twinity reporter J.O. signing off."

A Twinity Love Story: Rosa Schmidt and Marco "engaged" in Twinity

Today i attended the "engagement"-party of Rosa Schmidt and Marco, two Twinizens that found each other in Twinity and fell in love with each other.
Linking people together all over the world is propably the best feature of virtual worlds like Twinity, and if love comes to it is becoming the most beautiful thing.

I used the opportunity to chat with the couple on theire engagement party in the club "Ringelpietz2":

Great Marco - the first Twinity-couple! How long do you know each other by now?

Marco: Since 10.12.2008

And where in Twinity did you meet each other for the first time?

Marco: Here (in Ringelpietz2) at the bar, Love at first sight hehe

Ah, that is why you chose this location for your "engagement" party

Marco: Yeah, exactly. It is not my music-style though, but whatever

Do you have a place of your own together?

Marco: Yes, since one week.

And what have you ventured together here already?

Marco: We go out dancing together and since four days we work together each day.

Nice, and when will be the first real-meeting?

Marco: Ah, in a few weeks, we just started to phone yesterday

How far do you live from each other?

Marco: About 120km

Well, that is not too far ;) Is it your first internet-relationship?

Marco: For me, yes.

Rosa Schmidt: For me too.

Heyho Partypeople, let me introduce another club. This time the Nachtwerk, a really nice, well designed club who comes up with regulary events. I was at the Monday evening event, who comes up with gothic and industrial like music. The dresscode for the monday evening event is, as you can quess, black.

I talked with Flo, who is the owner of the Nachtwerk, a little bit about the club and the events and other interesting projects he started already or is going to start. Let me tell this, the Twinity Times got a exclusive interview and some information who we are proud to be the first to announce. I also talked to the Dj and some visitors on the event. Flo runs two clubs, the first club is Neotokyo presented in manga style, there are two events, every friday Drum and Base and every saturday GOA Trance Party. The second club is the Nachtwerk in Karlsruhe/Germany. Well, in thr first time they had both mixed music but it seems better to have different styles so Flo decided to split them up for the clubs. In the Nachtwerk is a gothic/industrial music style and the enviroment fits perfectly for the music direction. As Alierot, a good friend of Flo and was also on the event told me, Flo is an artist to manage and work with the frames to get a good looking club. She´s absolutely right because Flo did an excellent job.I talked to Flo about future events in the Nachtwerk, he told me that every monday the black Night Event gonna start, in the near future there are two new events going to start, you can see teasercover already in the club, the first one a Ramstein Party Event with a lot of alternative metal, the second will be a theme event focussing Monster Magnet and Queens of the Stoneage. Im excited to be the first who can tell you this, there is the concept of a 18+ mature event in his mind and I think this would be awesome like the rest of the events, specifically when take a look at the enviroment. Could be really interesting and I will try to gather more information on this, so stay tuned.

I talked to several quests at the event and even the Dj, Cente. He told me that he found some cool people there and he is very pleased with the event and the people around. Also Dana, we talked a little bit and she descriped the people so nice and helpful and always friendly, so it was just fun to be there.

Well Partypeople, Monday next week is your chance to meet nice people, share some drinks, listening to really nice music and remember, wear black.

Zitty Readers Lounge Live Reading

featuring Mia Ming

Yesterday evening at 8:00 PM Berlin local time the first live event started at the Zitty´s
Readers Lounge. Mia Ming read from her book "Bad Sex 2". The Book is a collection of 33
storys from different men, sharing their experiences with the opposite in a very amusing way.
But it was not only amusing, it handles some situations who everybody had at least heard of.
You keep smiling and laughing in the hope that YOU never had this kind of situation to deal
with.

There were around twenty people to listen to this act. Everything has worked fine, the audio
quality of the reading were really good and the different story´s were exciting. Most people liked it.
I personally noticed one male character who didnt like the stuff. I talked to a small group
after the event and one finally ordered both books already. I pretend, thats an event its
gonna be, it was funny, the technical background worked excellent, except a few disconnects
but this gonna happen and even the author must be happy to announce his masterpiece in this
different ways with a real and a virtual audience.

I can only hope, that there are more events like this one in the future. The only thing,
I would suggest, dont let anyone entering the stage during the event. It was a little bit
annoying. Maybe in the future the author can present himself for a few minutes for the
photographers around there. I do not blame the photographer, dont get me wrong. He just want
some good pictures to do his job but it was some sort of annoying to have people entering the
stage area and take pictures in the middle of a presentation. Just keep that Question in
mind, would you do this in Real life on a live event? I quess not, to be honest, not a long
time.
At last, I hope that this person read this article and share the pictures with the community,
there must be some closeup shots with the Book sign in the background. Would be nice to
publish them for all of us.

My best wishes and and a lot of respect goes to the author of this book, Mia Ming. And I hope that all of you had such a nice and funny evening as Iam.

Ray in his club

Do you want your own, exclusive apartment in Twinity and have no idea where to start and what to build? Why you dont call a designer, someone like Ray.
To be honest, I just had the story of another club in my mind when I met Ray. He was applying
for a job not easyily done, he wants to be a apartment designer to create things for other
people. Ray did a good job in his club, and I think his club should be his reference.
We talked a lot about the options given and the creative work and he said its a pleasure to
work from detail to detail. Its a fun to build up a room for several hours, give it your
personal atachments to see the breathtaking details when you finished he said.

Rays Classic Rock Galerie

As i mentioned before, Ray got his own club called "Ray´s classic Rock Galerie". The Music
style is soft and Hard rock and the place looking very special. Its a nice place to hang
around, listening to some music and the place reflects the talents of Ray very good. Its all
in the same style, the rooms of the clubs have something special, something strange very well
designed and with many details.
So, if you get the feeling of a new or a redesigned apartmant or club write to Ray or spent
him a visit in his club and talk to him directly.

A lots of sound and even more drinks, fun & style at the

Titty Twister

in New Mexico

I decided to travel a little bit around to write this article. So I arrived in Mexico at the famous Titty Twister. You feeling stunned when you see this place the first time. There´s a little stage, big mirrors all over the place, some effects added very nicely. In my opinion it´s one of the finest places to party in Twinity so far if you like Rock music. Well, to be honest, its not only Rock, it´s some sorts of independent, rock, metal but it fits perfectly and the concept works very well.

I asked Eleanor for a exclusive interview and she invited me to her apartment and we talked a lot.

Sam: What was the idea to build up a club like the Titty Twister?
Eleanor: Well, I had the idea when I saw a lots of clubs beeing the same, clean, without a style and not beeing like a club. I never saw a club with totally clean toilets and so on. So I decided so start something different, something real. When you enter the club, you get the feeling of a club who is in use everyday. That was the feeling I wanted to create.

Sam: Did you get help or did you everything on your own?
Eleanor: Well, I build everything on my own, paintings at the wall of the toilet and we are the only club who had a cigarette and a condom machine, safety comes first (laughing). What I mean to say is, that all these gadgets keep the club alive and create the atmosphere that you find at the Titty Twister. It was a hard work and after twenty hours I stopped counting but it was worth every minute.

Sam: Do you have plans for the future, maybe a event or something in that way?
Eleanor: Well,there are several things. There will be events in the near future, maybe in December but I cant say a concrete date. The second thing, I will expand the bar a little bit but also no date for that. Create events in the future, when more people join Twinity. That would be great and one of my goals with the Club.

Sam: Well, thank you for your time and I hope that you have a lot of fun and nice people in the Twister.
Eleanor: Thanks a lot, everytime again. See you in the club folks (smiling).
